These apartments in Exmouth Devon had become contaminated with organic growth that required specialist treatment to remove, in need of render cleaning. This is important in two different respects. Firstly it avoids unnecessary risks associated with working at height. Secondly it reduces costs, as there is no need to erect scaffold (as would happen if the property were being painted), or to hire access equipment like MEWPs (aka Cherry Pickers). The render looked as good as new, and the work had been completed on time and budget, with no interference in the daily lives of the residents. In fact the residents had been informed in advance of what was expected of them- when the work to take place, when to shut windows during spraying, and the project was therefore completed without any hitch.
